Thanks for your Thanksgiving help! What I loved and used last year was your Gobble Gobble Guide. Any way to get my hands on it this year? Making your turkey, Make Ahead mashed potatoes, Green Bean Casserole again this year! 🦃🍗

This is great. Thank you. I also print a thanksgiving menu. I have them from years ago. I post it so the guests can see it and I check off what is done on day of. I have a small house so I set the table the night before. Get a good night sleep the night before because the next day is busy and you really want to enjoy it. Ask for help in the kitchen! If guests want to help and you have the room, let them come in and roll up their sleeves. Enjoy and be grateful. We have each other. Nothing better.

Great advice! And I love the idea of keepsake menus - that double as checklists!

Hi Babs! Love having you and your expertise in my back pocket for my first Thanksgiving at my home! A couple questions:

1. Do you bake the turkey on the rack in the roasting pan or just in the pan alone?

2. Do you start the "12 minutes per pound" AFTER the 45 min of roasting or is the 45 min included in the time?

Thank you!

Babs you are incredible and I follow your pizza stone Turkey method and it’s magical.

Can you please tell me approx how many minutes per pound it takes to cook a turkey to the resting stage.

I’m always checking and never quite sure of the total amount of time, so it would be so helpful to know for my planning ! Thank you Julie

I love your idea of using the slow cooker to heat the mash potatoes made ahead. What a great idea because using the microwave makes no sense and it’s a no no.

I also heat the gravy on the stove and store in a thermos to free up stove space!

How long can a cooked turkey sit out of the oven? I have a wall oven and need to put an appetizer in the oven for 30 minutes. I can’t fit anything in the oven with the turkey. Not sure what to do.

Babs! I see I am to dry brine the turkey on Tuesday - but I'm not picking up my turkey until Weds. Am I doomed? (also am hunting down your directions on dry brining but holler if they do not exist). In gratitude...

I am trying the make ahead gravy this year. Do you prepare the gravy completely and then freeze it? And should I freeze the broth as well in case I need it Thanksgiving morning??

Thank you!
